Waterloo-Biergarten

16 years ago the Waterloo beergarden opened, today it is a summer institution. They offer several types of beer from the tab (Pils, Alt, Weissbier) and the popular "Altbierbowle" (refreshing but it takes some getting used to). The First ecological supermarket of Hannover has now its own restaurant: home-brewed beer or steaks that do not shrink in the pan guarantee a healthy meal.

Steuerndieb

In 1329 a stone-sided tower was erected about a mile east of central Hannover to guard the lumber produced in Eilenriede Forest. Around 1850 a idyllically restaurant was built on the site of that tower, and it has been known ever since for unflinching and flavorful food. Some of the specialties are prepared in an old stone oven and the restaurant offers a locally inspired menu that, unlike those of many other restaurants, features game year-around. La Galleria

This traditional Italian right in the middle in the town center has an Antipasti buffet as main attraction. Specialty of the house is fresh fish in all variations. *D:Gattopardo Zentrum Maybe not traditionally Italian meals, but they're certainly creative and affectionate, and with a distinctive Ligurian impact. Combine this with high-quality wines at relatively civilian prices and you've got the main ingredients of Gattopardo. There's a new menu every two months, but you'll alway, s find fish and lamb on it.
