Getting There in FrankfurtEdit This
The airport of Frankfurt is the gateway to Europe for many guests. It is Europe's leading freight airport and in terms of passengers it comes second, after London Heathrow. So a lot of people are likely to arrive by plane. From the airport there is a fast suburban train to the city centre (the so-called S-Bahn). The departures are frequent and even for people who only have a stop-over of only 4 hours, it is already worthwhile to go into town.

Frankfurt also has many good and frequent trains to other European cities, both within and outside of Germany. A fast train to Amsterdam only takes about five hours, for example. Other fast connections include Berlin, Munich, Hannover and Cologne. In most cases it is not necessary to reserve in advance, you can just go to station, get a ticket and go.
