You might want to try the creamy pannacota and tiramisu at the restaurant. Alte Kanzlei offers a broad selection of local and international wines, including some wine from Italy.

Zur Sonne
Edit ThisZur Sonne in Frankfurt (Bornheim)
Despite repeated references in guides about Frankfurt, it is just not
true that genuine cider taverns are
located in Sachsenhausen. Locals or insiders know that these are to be
found in Bornheim or Seckbach. An all time favourite is, without a
doubt, the over 100 year-old “Zur Sonne” which resides in a picturesque
timber-frame house (built 1768) in the old area of Bornheim.
Residents
in the area have a saying: “Auf zur Sonne!” (Off to the sun!). It is
more frequently used during the warmer months when large crowds gather
– already during the afternoon - for a more..

Mosebach
Edit Thisphoto by: selected-restaurants.com
For many a guest the Mosebach is like their own living room - a real
friendly and communicative atmosphere where every newcomer is almost
immediately integrated into the family.
In summer the wonderful garden offers, under an old chestnut tree, the
next best alternative to a trip to the countryside. On such days it can
get really full and pretty lively. The crowd is mixed, young and old,
locals and guests in the city and always a lot of fun.
Alone the atmosphere and the apple wine would more than justify a
visit. But people come from all corners of town also more..

Größenwahn
Edit ThisThis popular place has been crowded every night since it opened some thirty five years ago. Leftist students, or those who once were it, artists and intellectuals who come from far, but also breast-feeding mothers from the neighbourhood can be found here. Reservation is a must. If you are alone or with one other person, you never get a table of your own. But what is so really miraculous in this place: your table-companions are almost always very nice and interesting! The food and the wine are delicious. Sometimes the service is a bit slow. But did you really want to leave already?
