7 Day Itinerary in Frankfurt

Day 1 - Römerberg
Take a trip back in time and visit these old buildings and churches that were built during the 14th and 15th century. Located in downtown Frankfurt, Römerberg not only houses buildings that date back to the 14th and 15th century but also restaurants and cafes including the town hall. You can also see the 15th century Gothic-style tower called Rententurm and the 12th century castle known as Saalhof.
Day 2 - Museumsufer
Museumsufer is a district in Frankfurt where most museums are located. The number of museums within this district is enough to keep you busy for a while. There are at least 10 museums around Museumsufer, perhaps that’s the reason why the district is called Museumsufer.
Day 3 - Naturmuseum Senckenberg
This is one of the well known museums in Frankfurt, situated in Senckenberganlag. Naturmuseum Senckenberg or simply Senckenberg Museum showcases various animals, plants, minerals etc. The highlights of this museum are the collection of preserved and stuffed animals from pre-historic time, as well as the huge dinosaur skeleton.
Day 4 - Flea Market
After you explore all the museums around Frankfurt, the next best thing to do is to shop around. The Saturday flea market in Museumsufer is a place you should visit. You will find a host of things displayed and you can pick up things like: handicrafts, readymade clothing, fashion accessories, shoes, bags and more all at affordable prices. Remember to bargain.
Day 5 - Grüneburgpark
This is the largest public park in Frankfurt. Grüneburgpark is located in the western district of the city, near 2 university campuses. On the northern part of this 29-hectare property is the botanical garden, which is now called Botanischer Garten der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. On the other side you can find the Palace Café which is open every summer.
Day 6 - Bornheim
Bornheim is a historic residential district with stunning medieval houses and a dynamic market. It’s nice to explore this particular area and see old houses that have survived the war. After roaming around you can relax and have a bite at one of the cafés or restaurants around the busy Berger Strabe.
Day 7 - Jet Fighter Flight from Frankfurt Hahn Airport
If you want to end your journey in an extraordinary way, try the Jet fighter flight from Frankfurt Hahn Airport. Visitors are allowed to fly the fighter Jet under close supervision of the pilot. This way you get see Frankfurt in “birds eye view." This is one super adventure you don’t want to miss.
