Edit This
The port of Hamburg is the biggest port in the Federal Republic of Germany and the forth largest port in Europe for bulk goods. It's furthermore Europe´s second largest container port - one of the most important in the world. The first container x-ray unit in the Federal Republic was installed in Hamburg in 1996. In former times Hamburg Harbour was for many people, who wanted (or were forced) to emigrate, the doorway to a new live. Boat tours can be made starting from the Landungsbruecken.
