Museums in Bremen
Edit ThisBremen has a population of around 550,000 and sits in northern Germany, 40 miles from the North Sea. With an abundance of schools, such as the University of the Arts, cultural and artistic excellence is not lacking in this beautiful Hanseatic city.
The Arts
The Focke Museum in Bremen has 7 main buildings that are located in a luscious 4.5 acre park. This museum, also called the Folk Museum, represents the history and culture of Bremen. In the buildings are historical documents, paintings done by local artists and even typical flora of the area, located in the park. Depending on what all you'd like to see, prices start at around $17 for adults.
Kunsthalle Bremen Museum will re-open during the winter of 2010-2011 and will feature artwork by some notable guests of the past.
Nature
The Rhododendron-Park in Bremen is also a part of the Botanical
Gardens, but you won't find just rhododendrons here! Prices vary
depending on date and how much you want to see.
Science
The University Science Center hosts 250 exhibits, as if the building itself weren't amazing enough (it is made of 40,000 stainless steel scales). All of the exhibitions are related to mankind, earth, or the cosmos. Prices vary but, to see all of the exhibitions, it is only around $24 for adults.
