Day Trips in Bremen

In Bremerhaven, learn about the history of the region at the German Maritime Museum where you can see a wartime u-boat. There is also a Marine Zoo in town where you can examine aquatic life in their natural habitat.
Theme Parks
Theme parks abound in this area. Heide Park Adventure World and Resort has an exciting wooden roller coaster and many other exhilarating rides. Nearby in Bispingen, is the Snow Dome where you can participate in winter sports all year round. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding or take a toboggan ride. Walsrode boasts the world’s largest bird park. Serengeti Park is in Hodenhagen and you will ride a tour bus through exotic animal habitats. The Sea Life Aquarium in Hannover is a must sea for those that love sharks, dolphins and tropical fish. Also in Hannover is one of the finest zoos in Europe called the Adventure Zoo.
Woflsburg
Wolfsburg is the home of a technological center called
Phaeno. Go in the futuristic building to
interactive stations and labs where visitors can take part in scientific
experiments.
Hamburg
While in Bremen you must take a short trip to Hamburg, Germany. There are many things to do there including visiting museums, cruises, and other activities. Museum fur Volkerkunde highlights growth and development of cultures from around the world. It is open every day but Monday from 10am to 6pm and Thursdays 10am to 9pm. Children are to 18 years old are free and adults are €7.
Haegensbeck’s Tierpark
Haegensbeck’s Tierpark is also in Hamburg and built in 1848. Wild animals move freely about in outdoor corrals. The park hosts Jungle Nights in June, Dances in July, and Classical Music in August. They also offer a tropical aquarium with over 13,000 fish and other animals in three levels.
Rathaus
If you like history, visit Rathaus with 647 rooms and an ornate clock tower. It is in public square and many cultural and civic events are scheduled. There is also a 35 minute tour.
