Sights in Potsdam
Edit This
Potsdam is the capital of the state Brandenburg and just around the
corner of Berlin. It's a dream destination for everyone - a charming
city surrounded by idyllic lakes and forrests. Over three centuries the
prussian kings have created a unique cultural landscape with parks and
palaces covering the whole area of Potsdam. Park and Sanssouci Palace
is the most famous one known for its beauty all over the world.
Buildings of different styles like the Chinese Teahouse, the Orangerie
Palace in renaissance style and one of the most imposing buildings, the
New Palace in late-baroque architecture are a MUST SEE. But Potsdam
city is also very nice - highlights are the Dutch quarter, the Russian
Colony Alex androvka and Belvedere Palace on the Pfingstberg. Another
interesting location to visit is Cecilienhof Palace, the place of the
Potsdam Conference. There's so much to see....
