PROPHECY OF A NAMELESS ESKIMO
by Ashley Brandt
8-11 April – 8pm – English Theatre
12-16 May – 8 pm – English Theatre
28 April, Lange Nacht der Theater und Oper (Berlin-wide festival)
In a world where diseases no longer exist and the ageing process takes three
times longer than it does today, the population is spiralling out of
control. But not to fear: the government has come up with the ultimate
solution.
In this multi-media piece, three women and a collection of television
commercials tell the tale of survival and decay in this society. Their
story is one of distorted media, power-hungry officials and the mass
manufacturing of very, very humane weapons.
