Bars and Cafes in Berlin Mitte

Mitte was part of East Berlin with the Berlin Wall to its west, south and north. Mitte is a place that is filled with excitement and a variety of attractions. With a vibrant nightlife, Mitte is one of the most popular stops for tourists visiting Berlin. The area is filled with some of the best bars and cafes that Berlin has to offer. The following are a few of the top clubs and bars in Mitte.
Opernpalais
The Opernpalais cafe is situated right next to the Staatsoper unter den
Linden. The building that houses the cafe was built between 1733 and 1737 by
F.W.Diterichs and is one of the oldest buildings in Mitte. Today the building
houses a café, providing customers a great opportunity to enjoy the design and
luxury of the 19th century while having cake and coffee. The café serves
fantastic coffee, cakes and pastries and is open Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m.
to 12 p.m.; however, reservations are recommended.
Ossena
Ossena is another premier bar/café in Mitte where the quality of the food is excellent and the service is just great. Ossena is a great place to relax and have a drink. The café also has restaurant facilities that provides excellent dishes. Ossena is located at 42, Rosenthaler Straße and is open Monday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 1 a.m. Prior booking is advisable.
Jubinal
Located at 34, Tucholskystraße, Jubinal is a recent addition to the bars in Mitte. The bar caters to an upscale clientele and is very popular during summer where much of the activity takes place on the terrace. You can come here if you want to avoid the other crowed bars and cafés.
The Pips
The Pips is a bar that lets you drift back and enjoy the style and music of the 70s. Though its music is not the style that goes with the modern day, Pips is popular for its cocktail parties. Pips is located at 84, Auguststraße.
Café Orange
Café Orange is one of the hottest spots in Mitte. This is the perfect place to relax during the summer or in the afternoon and enjoy the special ‘Orange Coffee’. The café is situated at 32, Oranienburger Straße and includes a bar and a restaurant. It is open Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday to Sunday frin 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.
