Nuremberg (Nürnberg) has a conveniently located airport at the Northern edge of the city. Air-Berlin, for example, offers many connections to major European cities. A metro station is right outside of the airport building. The metro brings you right into the inner city within 15-20 min.

The main trainstation is sitting right at the edge of the walled inner city. From the station it is a short stroll into the pedestrianized centre.

Nuremberg is very well connected in all directions. High speed ICE trains go to, for example, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt,  etc.

The local network of metro, tram, s-bahn (city trains), buses is extensive and affordable.

An impressive number of historic towns can even be reached via regional trains within one hour. Regensburg, more..
