Eating Out
Edit ThisIf you connect Munich with beer-drinking and original German or better Bavarian food, you are right. Traditional Bavarian breakfasts include weisswurst (a white bratwurst in a thick skin) and weissbier (white beer made of wheat) with plenty of traditional bavarian mustard. Not for the faint of heart, Munich is famous for its "mass" (one liter beers in large mugs) that are served in popular biergartens and bars across the city. But don't believe this is the only possibility to ease your hunger - hundreds of restaurants offer delicious international specialities and atmosphere. It's nearly impossible to describe the wide variety of bars, bistros, restaurants and cafes. From first class top cuisine to popular Beer Gardens, from Japanese to Bavarian, where both Bavarians and tourists like to spend their leisure time, you will find everything in Munich.

Hofbräuhaus
Edit ThisFor every fan of bavarian and beer culture the 1589 founded "Hofbräuhaus" is a Must. Food, beer and atmosphere are absolutely unique. Try the bavarian home-made specialities and the famous HB-beer. To understand this bavarian institution, have a short look at the history:
1589: The Hofbräuhaus was founded by Duke "Wilhelm V." of Bavaria. Until then the courtyard received his beer from Einbeck, a town near Hanover, which was one of the best at that time.
1879: The world-known trademark - HB with crown - was registered in Munich.
1966: The whole building was more..
