Freising is a frendly, green, cosmopolitan upper bavarian city with a population of over 40,000 people. Even though it's a nearly non touristic insider tipp, Freising is world-famous for the oldest brewery of the word, the "Weihenstephaner Staatsbrauerei", the corresponding beer-garden and tavern "Bräustüberl" and the Freisng department of the Technical University Munich. Frising has a small and interesting nightlife. Lots of studends from differnt countries and employees of the nearby Munich International Airport life here. The transport connections to Freising are excellent. Trains to Munic Hbf (30min) and Busses to the international Airport (<20min) are going several times of an hour until late in the night (or early in the morning) and the major Highway (Autobahn) from Munic to the north of Germany passes the outskirts of the city. The River Isar, from Munich comming, flows through the city. It's surrounded by green floodplains and meadows and has a cicle path all the way beside the river to the famous "Englischer Garten" in Munich (35km) or to the capital city of Lower Bavaria (Niederbayern) Landshut (35km) in norther direction.
