Tsunda Travel Guide

Just before you reach Vardzia coming from Alkhatsikhe you pass the lake of Tsunda and Tsunde itself. It's a very small place with only a few houses, but interesting because it has hot springs and a place to spend the night when it is too cold to camp in Vardzia. Ask for the Sauna or Banja and you will be taken to a family house a bit away from the other houses. The grandmother who runs the place is very friendly. There is an indoor swimming pool, with great hot mineral water and two showers. You may join the family for their dinner of khinkali and home brewn booze. All included in the price of ten lari for a double.
