Things to do in Paris
Edit ThisWalking The Spirit Tours of Black History in Paris.
African-American history is everywhere in Paris. By taking a Walking The Spirit tour through the Latin Quarter/St.Germain-des-Pres, you'll see where respected writers like Richard Wright, James Baldwin, Chester Himes created their work, where artists like Henry O. Tanner and Lois Mailou Jones painted, where Beboppers Miles Davis and Bud Powell played their tunes.
In Lower Montmartre, see where Josephine Baker did her famous banana belt dance, and jazz delighted with its first concert, remember where Langston Hughes wrote his poetry.
French and Black American history exist side by side throughout Paris's streets and a walking tour is the best way to relive it. Continue reading to learn more about other Paris activities and some of the top things to do during your stay in the City of Lights.
