Jardin du Luxembourg

The Jardin du Luxembourg is a large and sumptuous park that is a "must" to visit at any time. With its statuary, benches, and formal gravel paths, this is the quintessential Paris park. Right in the middle of this park, the italianate-style Palais du Luxembourg has served many functions in its long existence. Today, it houses the French Senate. When in the park, don't miss the Fontaine des Médicics.

Just outside the park, you will find the Saint Sulpices church of God. This classical building has mural paintings by the French painter Eugene Delacroix, as well as beautiful stained-glass windows and sculptures.
