Bibliotheque Nationale
Edit This
The wealth of its 500 year history has made the Bibliothèque nationale de France one of the best-endowed libraries in the world. Over the centuries, whether as a royal, imperial or national institution - depending on the political regime in force - the library has never once failed in its task of collecting, conserving, cataloguing, communicating and transmitting knowledge.
The collection has been moved to a beautiful new building that stands on the south bank of the Seine in the East of Paris. The architecture is great and by itself is worth a visit.
