There are a number of crêperies around Nantes both in the form of restaurants and street stands, but Crêperie Sainte Croix is the biggest one. The crêpe itself is a thin pancake made of wheat or buckwheat flour. There is a wide choice of crêpes offered in here - from sweet crêpes filled with fresh fruit or fruit jam to salty crêpes filled with vegetables or the famous duck meat crêpes. You can’t leave Nantes prior to trying the fine wines and the delicious dishes served at La Cigale. The restaurant has an arty decoration, with colorful mosaics and beautiful sculptures creating a truly unique interior. This is one of the most renowned places in Nantes. Surely try some of the excellent fish recipes or the wide assortment of French cheese and order a bottle of muscadet - a dry white wine made entirely of Melon de Bourgogne grape, produced only in this region of France and acknowledged by wine connoisseur worldwide.
