Eating Out in Aix en Provence
Edit ThisLe Riad
Le Riad is one of the fine restaurants in Aixen Provence. This restaurant offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Though the restaurant does not look too appealing from the street, you will be surprised with the quality of food served here. Step in to the restaurant and make yourself comfortable in the large courtyard. The restaurant is priced a bit above average but considering the service and food served here, it is worth the price.
Restaurant de la Fontaine
Located in Place Ramus, this is a nice affordable restaurant that offers excellent food. The restaurant has a variety of food including different types of salads. Try the “grillades” while you are at the restaurant. During the summer you can enjoy your meal on a table outside the restaurant and enjoy the pleasant street view.
Chez Maxime
French food is excellent but normally very expensive. Chez Maxime provides its clients a chance to experience authentic French cuisine at very affordable rates. You will find a variety of dishes to choose from at this restaurant. The restaurant also has a fine collection of wine to go with your meal. This is a great place to enjoy some authentic French food with your friends or family.
Khéops
If you fancy something different, step into Khéops. This is an Egyptian restaurant in the middle of Aixen Provence. The restaurant has a very unique ambience compared to the other restaurants in Aixen. But then, this is an Egyptian restaurant. The restaurant has underground rooms that have cushions set on the floor. You will have to sit on those cushions and eat your food on low tables. This is an experience worth enjoying. Enjoy authentic Egyptian cuisine at this restaurant.
Le Grillon
Le Grillon is a French restaurant with a difference. The place is extremely popular with students and older people, as well. The restaurant has 2 floors, the upper floor is elegant and formal and the ground floor is more like a Bistro. The restaurant has variety of dishes to choose from. You can try the steak tartar while you are here. Le Grillon is open Monday to Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
