Pic Carlit Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeThis is not one of the highest Pyrenean peaks at a little under 3,000
metres but it is the highest in its area, the Eastern Pyrenees near the
ski resort of Font-Romeu. It seems to be in a micro-climate area
which gives it more sun than many of the other peaks.
Its ascent demands not much more than reasonable fitness and an absence of vertigo and the views from the top are fantastically good. Ibex and Chamois are to be seen in the falling light of a summer evening on the upper [snowy] slopes.
There are good photos on http://www.pyrenees-team.com/pteam/photos/carlit/carlitg/19 but Carlit doesn't seem to attract English sites.
