Getting Around in Pezenas

Edit This

Pezenas Transportation is unique due to the small size of the town and its narrow, medieval streets. The quiet town has preserved much of its heritage, which makes non-motorized transportation the most convenient way to see the city.

Getting Around by Foot

Walking the ancient streets of the old town centre is a free and relaxing way to see such sights as the 18th century Collégiale Saint-Jean church. Throughout the Pezenas area there are many hiking paths ranging from a 90 minute hike on the Vignes et Collines trail to a 4-hour trek through vineyards on the Parredaous Trail.

Getting Around by Bike

Pezenas transportation by bicycle is one of the easiest ways to see the town and the surrounding countryside. Bicycles can be rented from Plenete Velo on Emile Combes Avenue for day trips around Pezenas. The St Antoine Circuit is a 10 km trail that starts in a beautiful churchyard and continues through the rolling hills of vineyard country.

Getting Around by Horse

The most elegant form of Pezenas transportation would have to be hiring a carriage or renting a horse with a guide for the day. Picpoul's Carriages can be rented for 10 euro an hour or 30 euro per day, the carriage ride can take you through the village, the countryside and can even take you to elegant wine tastings. Horse rentals for practice or treks vary in prices and times but can be easy to find if you ask around.
