Day Trips in Pezenas
Edit ThisPezenas Day Trips truly celebrate nature and the outdoors in ways that most travelers wouldn't anticipate from France. Each day trip has something unique to offer its visitors and are worth the short separation from charming Pezenas.
Aqualand
There are several Aqualand locations in France. This particular Aqualand is located in Cap d'Agde, which is about 30 minutes south of Pezenas. It's accessible by personal vehicle or taxi. It's a wonderful way to see a different side of France and escape the heat of the summer months. The water park has slides for any type of traveler and range from enclosed slides to multi-person slides. There is even a slide shaped like a half-pipe. Aqualand also has a lazy river and an area for lounging. There is a small fee for renting a lounge chair. Families with children will especially love Aqualand. This addition to Pezenas Day Trips is open July through September and admission is $23.50 euros per adult. Remember to bring a dry change of clothes for your trip back to Pezenas.
Cactus Park
Cactus Park is located in Bessan, which is roughly 20 minutes south of Pezenas. Cacti might not always be associated with France, but the spiked plant is very present in this unique garden. All species of cacti are at the cactus park and they are in a serene desert setting. There is also a pond with floating flowers such as water lilies. Several farm animals call the Cactus Park their home as well. Visitors can see yaks, llamas, goats, sheep and donkeys roaming about their exhibits. The park is closed from November to February and admission is 4 euros per person.
Grotte de Clamouse
Grotte de Clamouse is a little over 30 minutes from Pezenas. Day Trips here are sure to awe visitors. The Grotte de Clamouse is a show cave with world-renowned rock formations. Visitors can explore several different rooms in the cave by means of a tour guide. The cave is filled with stalagmite formations and aragonite crystals. However, the addition of LED lights really transforms Grotte de Clamouse. They highlight every rock in just the right way and makes the formations look more like a painting than a cave. Admission to Grotte de Clamouse is about 10 euros per person. Guided tours last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
