Beaches in Pezenas
Edit ThisLying between the Languedoc National Park and the sprawling
Mediterranean coastline is the quaint medieval town of Pezenas. Beaches
are located about 20 minutes from the city near Herault and up
and down the coastline visitors will find a myriad of white sand
beaches great for exploration throughout their stay in Languedoc. Here
are some of the best beaches in the area:
Plage du Pous
The sand here is extremely clean and white and the ocean is crystal
clear and strikingly blue. This continuous beach is quite wide, allowing
for large crowds in the high season. There are many restaurants and
bars within the vicinity, making this a great location to spend a day.
The beach can only be reached by an unpaved road, however there is
parking near the beach.
Plage Ouest, Portiragnes-Plage
This natural beach is great for exploration and has many dunes. The
beach is clean and the water is crystal clear. There is very limited
food available to purchase on the beach, however there are some
restaurants alongside the beach here.
Plage de Saint Vincent
This is a busy beach close to the city, though even with lots of
buildings near and within sight of the beach, it maintains is charm.
There are several rock formations on the beach here and the sand is
white and water a beautiful light blue. There is very limited food
available on the beach, though there are restaurants close by.
Plage de Farinette
This is another beach close to the city, though compared to many of the
other wide beaches, this one seems rather narrow and small. The beach is
entirely flat and is within reach of many nice restaurants and bars. To
access the beach you will have to follow an unpaved road, but there is
parking at the beach once you arrive.
Plage Richelieu Est
This beach is near to the village and has many buildings visible from the beach. The water is crystal clear, very blue and exceptionally clean. There is limited food and drink available for purchase and no restaurants or bars within walking distance from the beach. The beach is very easily accessible and there is great parking for this beach.
Check
out any of these fine beaches during your stay in Pezenas and soak up
some of the beautiful sun of southern France.
