Bergerac Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeBergerac, whose name has been made famous throughout the world by Cyrano (who was not a Gascon but a true Parisian as it happens!)is the second largest town in the "département". Situated on the banks of the Dordogne it used to be a very important port controlling the traffic between the Auvergne and Bordeaux.
The old town, particularly the Tobacco & local history Museum (situated in Henri IV's Peyrarède House) and the river transport Museum are very interesting.
