Bars and Cafes in Marseille
Edit ThisOne of the things not to be missed while visiting Marseille are the Marseille Bars and Cafes. When visiting Marseille during the afternoon you might want to stop by a café and grab a mid-afternoon snack or a nice cup of coffee. During the early evening hours or even late at night, the many bars in Marseille are a great place to go to sit back and relax while enjoying some music or other form of entertainment. If you choose to visit any Marseilles bars and cafes, you want to make sure you are visiting the top spots in the area.
Le Trolleybus
If you are looking for something to do in the evening, this is the best place to go, and it is also one of the busiest places you can go. This bar literally has something for everybody, so people of all ages will find this a delightful experience. Inside The Trolley you have the choice of visiting four different rooms. Each room has something different to offer, including a whiskey bar, a bowling area and areas that can host concerts or even product launches.
Le Crystal
This restaurant is located in the Old Port section of Marseille, and is usually visited by a younger crowd. Most of the younger crowd comes in to Le Crystal because it is a great meeting spot for their group before going out to the other nightclubs in town. This place is not known for its food, but is a great place to go and grab a drink with friends, as there are plenty of cocktails to choose from.
La Trilogie des Cepages
One of the best features of this nice restaurant is that it offers over 950 wines and 150 different kinds of cheeses. Depending on when you come and visit the café you can also take part in their wine tasting. Since the timing varies, be sure to check out the website for exact dates and times. This restaurant is more suitable for an older crowd than a younger crowd, but nobody will be turned away.
O’Stop
This café is where you will find people recuperating from being out on the town all night, and is one of the few cafes in town that is open all day and night. The biggest problem with this café is that it only seats 12 people so you will have to wait, but that will give you plenty of time to people watch, and O’Stop attracts all sorts.
Nomad’ Café
One of the main attractions to this place is the concerts featured here on occasion, which only take place after dark. Aside from the concerts, if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere that has a large selection of teas and coffees, this is the place to go. Here you can find different teas and coffees from different places around the world, so one will be sure to match your taste.
