There are many different Argeles sur Mer Festivals. This festivals allow the locals and different industries showcase their talents and to mingle and celebrate many different art forms like film and sculpture.

Recontres Cinemaginaires

Held in May, The Recontres Cinemaginaires Festival is one of the Aregeles sur Mer festivals held to encourage a fresh new viewpoint on the film, music, and theater industry. Hosting to a new theme every year, the festival includes meals for its participants, and encourages many spins on reenacting plays. The Recontres Cinemaginaires Festival continues to expand to neighboring cities, but was originated in Argeles Sur Mer, Coledazur.

International Art Exhibition

The International Art Exhibition is held annually from September 19 to October 4. This art festival displays the best art of local Argeles Sur Mer‘s, as well as artists from neighboring cities.

The exhibition itself hosts around 375 works of art, from around 200 artists. The International Art Exhibit also supplies a food buffet, an auction of selected original art pieces, a concert featuring a few local bands, and other events and fresh surprises, depending on the host’s plans for the particular year.

Carnival

The Carnival is one of the Argeles sur Mer festivals that is held on the first day of March that the weather permit’s the people of Argeles Sur Mer to walk the streets all day.

The Carnival Festival isn’t like other traditional “carnivals,” but is more like what most people would refer to as a “parade.” Locals dress in brightly colored clothing, and parade through the town streets with homemade blimps,  party favors such as balloons, confetti, and a local tradition, “bandas,”  which are elegantly dressed dancers.
