Close to the border with Luxembourg the chateau of Cons-la-Gandville is set on a cliff that overlooks the Chiers River.

The domain has been in the hands of the the Lambertye Family, officers and diplomats serving the Duke of Lorraine and the French King, for over 350 years. Rebuilt in the early XIIIth century and in 1570, it was remodled between 1716 and 1736, and once more brought up to date at the end of the XIXth century.

The chateau has a military exterior, the interior court facades combine Renaissance and Classic styles, the great architectural periods of this chateau. Among the remarkable things to visit: Vaulted rooms with their beautiful fireplaces, A large reception room with a French ceiling and dominated by a Baroque fireplace decorated with statues and bas-reliefs representing Greek mythology; XVIIIth century reception rooms; vaulted cellars give entry to the lower levels of the towers: our visitors return year after year to visit this vast chateau.
