Beaune is a touristic, busy provincial town. It has several historical buildings. They are a covered market - now a sort of shopping center - , the Hospice de Dieu and several others. The hospice was built in the 1450's as a hospital and functioned as such until mid 1960's. It's quite worth a visit!
Situated between two top wine regionsin Burgundy, Beane also has a (small) wine museum.
