Edit ThisWith is sprial staircase the keep is the cnetral building of the castle. On top of the Keep there are terraces which give you a great panorama view over the Domain.

Francois I suite
Edit ThisFrancois decided to move his living quarters to the eastern wing of the castle and that's were they still are - unfortunately he died befor it was all ready. The quarters consist of a king's hall, taking up one whole floor of the wing, two cabinets, a bed chamber and a small oratory.

Chapel
Edit ThisLinked to the keep by a gallery, the chapel was built by Louis XIV. It occupies two whol floors, which makes it a rather big chapel.

Appartments of Louis XIV
Edit ThisLocated in the keep. Two quarters were combined by partitioning the north vestibule to comply with the rules of etiquette that require the royal suite to be in the cnetre of the main facade.

Museum of Comte de Chambord
Edit ThisOn the first floor, the est quarter contains the museum of the Comte de Chambord, the last woner of the chateau.

Museum of Hunting
Edit ThisFrancois I was not only a big fan of building new chateuax but he also liked to hunt. The hunting museum reflects the importance of hunting for the region. Tapestries, paintings and sculptures from the 16-th, 17-th and 18-th century as well as hunting weapons.
