The Palais Rohan

In 1771 Ferdinand-Maximilien Mériadec de Rohan became Archbishop and undertook the reconstruction of the old quarters which dated from the Middle Ages, the new palace was completed in 1784. Despite numerous modifications, the interior of the palace has conserved the great stairway of honour, a suite of drawing rooms on the ground floor with sculpted woodworks and a dining room decorated with trompe-l’œils.
