It is in Bordeaux, the original pilgrim site, where Charlemagne is said to have lain down Roland’s ivory horn after the defeat of Ronceveaux.
The Pilgrims’ guide to Santiago de Compostela also advised pilgrims to visit the body of Saint-Seurin.
