Ceillac Travel Guide

This is one of the first villages reached in Queyras. There is a ski resort but it has been kept separate from and above the main village. Sadly for tourists most of the original wooden roofs have been replaced by corrugated iron but the houses, in other respects, still preserve their original characteristics and some of them have sundials, which are one of the 'specialities' of the Queyras area.

Flowers are fabulous, both in the area immediately around the village and in the Alpine pastures above.
