Sights

Perhaps the largest and most breathtaking sites Punkaharju has to offer is the nature. You should take the "Harjutie" whether arriving from Savolinna or leaving Punkaharju towards Savonlinna. It is an old road that winds on top of a 5-6 km long hill next to the water. You have to see it to experience it. The Russian Czar declared this area a nature reserve once he saw it (a hundred or so years ago)!
