Nourgam Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeNourgam is the northernmost point in Finland and in the European Union.
It belongs to the municipality of Utsjoki. Nourgam borders to the
Norwegian hamlet Polmak in the municipality of Tana. At Polmak you find
a common Norwegian and Finnish custom control. Most of the customers in
the Nourgam shops are from Norway. An Alko shop opening a few years ago
has especially contributed to that, and the Finnish reduction of
duties on strong alchohol in March 2003 has even more augmented the
traffic to this little place. Here you also find clothing shops -
textili -, supermarket, iron shop, gas stations, car repair (Sami
Auto), friseur, camping with café and internet service and
also a restaurant/bar.
