Kiala Manor/Distillery
Edit ThisThe Kiala Manor/Distillery is located about 30 miles outside of Helsinki near Porvoo. The actual restaurant is situated in the former cellars of the distillery. The food is typical Finish type foods. It is a popular lunch stop for tour buses bringing in tourists from cruise ships.

Edit ThisDuring week days this restaurant has a menu with a generous selection of starters, main dishes and desserts. On Saturdays they focus all their strength on the four course menu, that changes daily.
Together with the menu, try the wine menu - one glass of preselected wine with every course.
The restaurant was given a Michelin star in March 2007.

Bellevue (Russian)
Edit ThisOut on the island Katajanokka, just downhill from the orthodox church, is this hidden pearl.
There's of course the usual borsjtj (beetroot soup), and main courses
includes Chicken Kiev, bear steak and wild duck. The wine selections
are good.
Do try the Russian tea; black tea with raspberry jam. Adjust the sweetness to your liking with honey or lemon.

Savota
Edit ThisIn the heart of Helsinki lies this quaint Finnish old style place. In the tradition of the Finnish loggers,every details suggests how people lived before in Finland. The food was great and I love the ambiance of the place. It is a great place to go for a romantic date. It IS a bit pricey about 100 euros for 2. However it is worth the price.
