Hameenlinna castle

The main reason why you would want to visit Hämeenlinna is probably to see the birthplace of the famous composer Jean Sibelius, who was born here in 1865. The garrison town is built around a castle (dating from the 13th century) on the riverside of the lake. The famous natural park Aulanko-Karlberg is located nearby.
