Alexander Nevski Cathedral

Toompea's dominating landmark is the Russian Orthodox cathedral named for the duke who attacked southeastern Estonia and Pskov in the early 13th century. It was built in the latter half of the 19-th century.

Dominican Monastery

One of the highlights of our tour of Tallinn was the open air Estonian medieval concert in the courtyard of the Dominican Monastery surrounded on all four sides by walls of the monastery. The music was typical old Estonian and very enjoyable.
