Canoeing on Raudna river, Soomaa national park, Estonia

Your guide meets you at the vistitor centre of Soomaa National Park. First you will be introduced about values of Soomaa by watching a video-film. After that continue to remote Karuskose farm, in the middle of the national park. Very characteristic and special to this area of regular floods, is the building and use of traditional log-boats ( haabjas). During the “fifth season" of Soomaa - season of high waters," the haabjas have been the only mode of transportation. We will look how such boats are made and go for a short bog-walking to Kuresoo bog.
A wilderness lunch. After lunch we will have a canoeing on the Raudna river.

At additional cost: pick up from your hotel in Pärnu or in Tallinn.
What to bring: Clothing according to weather.
Duration: 5-6 hours
Guaranteed departures: Every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday , April through October if minimum 1 person.
Meeting: 11.00 at the visitor centre of Soomaa national park; 10.00 at the hostel Soomaa.
