Bindslev Old Hydroelectric Power Station

The only hydroelectric direct current-station in Denmark. Built 1918-1920. Restarted in 2004 after 5 years of restoration carried out by volunteers. Today the station supplies power to the grid via a DC/AC inverter.

Located 20 km northeast of Hjoerring. Danish name: Bindslev Gl. Elværk.

Industrial-cultural museum with outdoor facilities for children and packed lunch.
