Billund is an extremely picturesque city in Western Denmark. It is a city made popular because of the Lego Group.

Climate
Billund has a temperate climate, you will not find any extreme snow or rain fall. The weather keeps switching between summer and winter, but it is pleasant. The maximum temperature is around 21 degrees and the minimum -0.85 degree. The best months to visit are March, May and October.
Accommodation
Billund offers both budget as well as luxurious accommodation. The
most popular luxury hotels are the Propellen and Hotel Lego Land. Make
sure to make reservations in advance, as they run on 100% occupancy
most of the time. State run guest houses are widespread and apt for the
budget conscious traveler.
People and Culture
The population in this city is approximately six thousand. The people of Billund are quite laid back and are known for their hospitality and warmth. This is a very young town and owes its success and growth to a single company – Lego. The most popular tourist attract here is the Lego Land; its presence has turned Billund into a tourist magnet.
Costs
Billund is more expensive compared to other places, so it would be wise to be well prepared when you plan to travel there. You can either change your money before arriving in Billund or you can use any of the local banks to withdraw from the ATM.
Safety
Billund is relatively safe, but it advisable not to walk alone in
dark and lonely places at night. Be careful not to jay walk on the
roads as cars travel at high speeds and may not be able to stop
immediately. In case of emergency you need to dial 112, this is the
emergency number for the Police, Fire Brigade and Medical help.
You also need to be aware that smoking in public places is not allowed including in buildings and several restaurants and bars.
