Museums in Billund
Edit ThisBillund museums would seem to focus around the city's
largest attraction - Legoland - however, there is a wealth of lesser
known but equally as stimulating museums throughout the city that
provide a great range of information and entertainment. Focusing on
history, innovation and technology, the museums of Billund offer the
visitor a fascinating look into the advancements of man throughout the
last century, as well as a look into the earlier surroundings of the
area that is now a developed and modern city.
Museums in Billund
The 3-museum Center Mobilium on Ellehammers Alle is a great stop
when visiting the Billund. Made up of an aviation museum, a motor museum
and the Falck Museum, this is a great stop for automobile and airplane
aficionados as well as children. The countless displays of airplanes,
fire engines, antique cars and other memorabilia make this museum fun
and accessible for visitors of all ages.
The Vorbasse Museum is also a popular spot for tourists visiting the
area. Located just south of Billund in the city of Vorbasse, there are
many fascinating exhibits here detailing the history of the surrounding
area from the time of the Ice Age up until present time. View many
recently discovered objects obtained during archaeological excavations of the
area.
Once you have visited these 2 expansive museums, check out the area's
largest attraction with a trip to Legoland. This kid-oriented theme park
is a great way to make your trip to Billund even more memorable,
especially when traveling with young children.
