Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeAttractions Galore
Billund has a number of attractions such as the Billund Museum, landscaped gardens full of wonderful flower varieties, over 12 churches and a good number of places to spend time shopping. However, Legoland still remains the main reason why Billund sees a lot of families vacationing with their kids in tow. Legoland Billund is the original Legoland Park that was opened up in 1968. Here, everything is crafted out of Lego blocks, so you can expect to see entire countries and worlds built from the colorful bricks! Plus, there are thrilling rides to experience that are perfect for every age right from young children to seniors. Interestingly, if you want to keep an eye on your roaming child, you can rent a “KidSpotter” which is a Wi-Fi tracking network and instant messaging service that ensures that you won’t lose track of your children.
Watering Holes Even though Billund is nowhere near the sea, it has a number of pools and a water park to cool off in. Among the many water holes, Svommedstadion Danmark, Vorbasse Svommehal and the Black Hole are the best. Golfer’s Paradise If you are crazy about golf, Billund has many golf courses. Besides enjoying a game of golf, your family and you can also take in the beautiful countryside. Notable golf clubs include the Vejle Fjord Golfklub, Varde Golfklub and Jelling Golfklub. Restaurants Billund offers a number of different kinds of restaurants ranging from cozy cafes to child-friendly restaurants and inns. The Filskov Inn and the Hovborg Inn serve up local delights, while the LegoLand Village offers special buffets for adults and children. Billund’s Pancake-house is famous for its home-made Dutch pancakes.Contributors
