Spindleruv Mlyn is a town seemingly out of a fairy tale, nestled among the highest mountains in the Czech Republic. Historically called "The Pearl of the Giant Mountains", Spindleruv Mlyn is a downhill and cross country skier's paradise. There is an abundance of hotels, chalets, bed and breakfasts, and hostels both in and around the town that cater to every budget.

Seasonal Price Changes

Most tourists visit in the winter, as skiing is ideal for about 5 months out of the year. There is a huge difference in the prices of accommodations from summer to winter. Winter prices can be anywhere from 10 to 70 euros or more per night than summer prices, depending on how expensive the place is to begin with. For example, Hotel Bedriska costs 25 euros per night during summer, and 50 euros in winter. Even with the seasonal changes in prices, you can still find inexpensive places to stay during the winter ski season, especially if you're open to staying in a simple hostel without any extra luxuries.

Accommodations on a Budget

You can find cheap hotels in Spindleruv Mlyn that cost anywhere from 20 to 30 euros per night and include all of the typical hotel luxuries like restaurants, tennis courts, pools, hot tubs and more.

• The Hotel Olympie, which costs 30 euros, has a sauna, whirlpool, restaurant and bar, and offers Thai massages.
  
• Hotel Martin costs 20 euros, but has fewer amenities and services.
  
• If your budget is really tight, it's better to look into hostels like Pension Seidl (14 euros) or Pension Jaruska (12 euros).
  

You can also check out the chalets in the areas surrounding the town, as accommodations outside of Spindleruv Mlyn are much cheaper. Bradlerovy Boudy, for example, offers chalets for 5.70 euros in the summer and 10.90 euros in the winter. Chata TOS also provides chalets for 9.40 euros in summer and 18.50 in winter.

Luxury Hotels

Of course, being a ski resort town, there are plenty of luxurious resorts to pamper yourself in. They can cost anywhere from just 120 to more than 300 euros per night. The Harmony Club Hotel is nice; for a reasonable 124 euros, you can enjoy your choice of 2 restaurants and a bar, with the option to enjoy the tennis courts, the gym, skiing transfers, ping pong, the jacuzzi, the Turkish bath, squash and the pool. The location of this hotel is excellent for skiiers, and you can even book a non-smoking room if you prefer one.
