U KAMENNEHO MOSTU

Open: Daily. 12.00 - 01.00. An historic restaurant with an interesting decor, great views of Charles Bridge, a large, floating terrace and excellent food. What more can you ask for? Open: Mon.- Fri. 11-24, Sat., Sun., 16-24. Both Ambiente restaurants positively ooze with atmosphere. Eccentric, warm colours and strange bits and pieces lying around. The above restaurant No. 1 in Prague 2 must have a specially designed extraction system from the kitchen in the basement that pumps excruciatingly pleasant smells into the street outside. Maly Buddha

Open: Tues.-Sun. 13.00 - 22.30. Lovely restaurant with an interesting menu. Especially good on vegetarian dishes.

Speaking as a vegetarian, this place (along with Country Life and Bios) was a godsend!  Their food was gorgeous and the surroundings were lovely and relaxing.  Most, if not all, of the veggie menu is also vegan, with lots of tofu dishes available too (the only place I came across it in Prague centre).  It's also very reasonably priced, but make sure you book for an evening meal, especially at weekends, as this place is very popular more..

This has become more of a cult restaurant with diners returning again and again for U Cedru's selection of Lebanese starters. Not in the same class as Fakhreldine but with more atmosphere. U Zeleneho Stromu

‘U Zeleneho Stromu’, the place seems to be famous for the locals. The good traditional Czech specialties, such as peceno vepreno koleno (roasted pork knee), pecena kacana (roasted duck), zebra (pork ribs) are available at low prices. I paid USD 10 for my one kg of spare rips. Please be aware that they don’t accept cards, all meals are paid in cash.
