Lidice Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeLidice was once a peaceful mining town located an hour or so from
Prague. After the assasination of Nazi Reinherd Heydrich in
1942, the town was destroyed brick by brick. Not only was it
destroyed, but it's citizens were either murdered, sent to
concentration camps, or adopted for re-education.
Today, there stands a monument dedicated to the memory of the town and its former inhabitants. There is no doubt that visitors will be moved by several the individual monuments and statues placed throughout the landscape of the former town.
