One of the best stops on the Dalmatian coast, much better to rather stay here and catch a bus through to Split. Trogir is not as well known as Split or Dubrovnik but rivals these cities in beauty. The town was founded by Greek colonists from the Island of Vis in the 3rd century BC. On this Antique matrix lies the historical core of Trogir, which is the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic complex not only in the Adriatic but in all of Central Europe.

Trogir's medieval core, surrounded by walls, comprises a preserved castle and tower and a series of dwellings and palaces from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. Trogir’s grandest building is the church of St. Lawrence, whose main west portal is a masterpiece by Radovan, and the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in the country.

Trogir is also under UNESCO world heritage protection. Beautiful city. Trogir is profilated as touristic destination with lots of hotels and private accommodations unit. One of the main departure point for cruising boat tourism. There is also Yacht marina, almost in the center of town.
Trogir is become must-visit mega-yacht destination. Closenest of airport is advantage to all travelers. From 2006 few low-coast air companies flight to Trogir airport.

We came to Trogir over travel agency www.onlycroatia.com. They have in their offer lots of apartments and hotel rooms. They also provide car rental , charter and excursions. Our recommendation!
