The greatest attractions in Vratsa are the alpinism and rock scramble of Vratsata gorge contests, which are caried out annually. Incredible is the view of the precipitous rocks that are 400 meters high, as well as the alpinists who measure their strength on more than 70 routes. For the beginners who look for excitement there is a Bike-alpine club in the town, which organizes training and offers all kinds of equipment and outfits for its members. At your disposal are specially trained guides for alpinism and bike-tourism. Along its steep slopes Vratsata offers a variety of forms – sheer smooth forms, large bends, and rocks with opposite slanting lines. The routes are divided according to their difficulty. There are easier routes for the beginners. Another attractive sport that is practiced from the high rock massif is paraplaning.
