El Rincon Espanol

Minsk's only Spanish restaurant usually has good food, but is often overpriced. The waiters serve you dressed in Spanish attire.

Patio Pizza

Openings=12:00 - 24:00. A great stop for anyone from out of town as well as the few locals who can afford the mouth-watering pizzas, well-stocked salad bar, excellent cocktails and tasty pastas on offer. Brick walls and red-checkered tableclothes make for a warm family atmosphere. If you really want it is possible to convice the cooks to give your pizza a double thick crust, that is if you like thick American pizza crusts. A full meal with a drink should not run you more than US$10

McDonalds

Same McDonalds as everywhere else. In the one across the street from Patio Pizza there is a plaque, telling you that Belarus was the one hundreth country that McDonalds has opened in.

Uzbekistan

This is my personal favorite. Here you can get some of the greasiest food to be found anywhere. If you are hungry order the Plov, a meat and rice dish. The soups are also good. The service is decent and sometimes after 7 pm there is live entertainment. A good filling meal is about US$4.

Blinnaya

A Belarusian version of crepes - some are so-so, some are delicious.  Very friendly staff of mostly young girls eager to please (something rarely found in old-style establishments).  Added bonus - very decent coffee (including lattes and cappuchinos), which is sometimes tough to find in Minsk.  Also - good liquor selection, that is not limited to just local things, in case you want that bourbon on the rocks.
