Edit ThisCaravansarai Restoran (in the Sheki Caravansarai) tel:4-48-14; prices 4-6 AZN
Chelebi Xan (town center) tel:322-95-34; prices 3-5 AZN
Istanbul Restoran (next to the new bazaar) has Turkish food and serves the cakes, Danishes, and desserts from the Turkish bakery next door; prices 4-6 AZN
Sheki Saray Hotel Restaurant tel:117-48181. This is a great resturant located inside of the Sheki Saray Hotel. They have all types of Western food, but it would be better to eat Azerbaijani food at the Chelebi Xan; Baku prices.
Drink
A cultural note-Although the çay xana by the Xan Saray allows western women to enter, in general it is forbidden for females to enter such establishments.
Tea Houses/ Çay Xanalar
By the Xan Saray there is a nice outdoor çay xana (tea house) that serves tea and halva to people in their own individual nooks.
Çay xana (found throughout Azerbaijan) serve local piva (beer) - draft at 50 qapick/glass or bottles at 70 qapick/bottle or araq (vodka) at AZN2/bottle. For anything exotic (e.g. tequila, gin, or rum), you will have to go to the Sheki Saray bar and pay Western prices there.
Cafés
The only good coffee (besides Nescafe or Mac Coffee) is in the lobby of the Sheki Saray Hotel. Here you can have your favorite espresso concoction made by their Western-trained staff. The Café Mocha and the Sheki Halva Laté are some of the best hot drinks there. A variety of teas is also offered.
There is a good Turkish bakery next to the New Bazaar, where you can eat local pastries. The same items can also be ordered next door at the Istanbul Restoran, which has a nicer atmosphere. Their best cake is the Snickers Cake, although it is a bit pricy (50 qapick).
