The habitations and graves referred to the Eneolit, Bronze and Iron Age, antic period and the Middle Ages found in the territory of the region and investigated. On the basin of Kuku river one could find the habitations referred to the 3rd millennium B.C. The investigators investigated the old habitations of Saridere, Agbulag, Kolani, Kuku, Kulus and Shamlar. The patterns of culture, graves, the samples of the coins revealed speak about great civilization at the beginning of our era.

The tower Shapur-near the village of the region Shahbuz with the similar name, is on the mountain surrounded by the rocks. As an archaeological monument the tower registered in 1990. The finds revealed prove about the life from the early centuries of our era to the 15th-16th centuries.
